Our space is available to reserve for free, and we offer flexible packages to elevate your event with drink options, local catering, and entertainment.

Owner's biography
Yazan Humaideh
My name is Yazan Humaideh, also known as Yaz, I am the founder of Sip City Market & Bottle Shop, which is located in the lovely Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. I was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, until I was sixteen years old. I moved to the United States in 2010 in pursuit of an opportunity that many people around the world desire: The Green Card. At the time, my family had an established business in Syria, and my two sisters were in college, which prevented my family from taking advantage of that opportunity. I, on the other hand, was a high school sophomore with nothing to lose and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to pursue.
Thirteen years later, I've progressed from bagging groceries to leading grocery departments at Publix Supermarkets, managing stores for Harris Teeter Supermarkets, and most recently overseeing operations for Target as a General Merchandise & Online Ordering Fulfillment Executive Leader in the Gastonia market and a Food & Beverage Coordinator in the Charlotte, Greensboro, Asheville, and surrounding markets. Working for such reputable companies over the years has allowed me to work alongside some of the industry's strongest leaders, peers, bosses, and team members who have helped me grow as a leader, a person, and achieve my goals. I'm grateful for every opportunity, challenge, lesson, and person I've met along the way, and I'm especially grateful for my family, my soon-to-be wife, friends, and everyone who has supported me through thick and thin to reach the Sip City milestone!
